MOSCOW, March 29 – RIA Novosti. Military Tunisia declared the destruction of a group of nine Islamist militants during the antiterrorist operation in the south of the country, following an attack on the museum “Bardo”, which killed more than 20 people .
The operation was conducted on Saturday night in the province of Gafsa, Reuters reported with reference to the representative of the Ministry of Interior of the country.
According to the agency, the operation was carried out in anticipation of anti-terror march in Tunis, on the which are expected to attend the world’s leaders, including French President Francois Hollande.
The militants attacked the museum “Bardo” March 18, seized the building and taking hostage foreign tourists. As a result of the attack, according to the latest data, 25 people died. Took responsibility for the attack on the terrorist organization “Islamic State”.
