Siluanov: Russia will not discuss the restructuring of the Ukrainian debt – Russian newspaper

Russia is not going to discuss the restructuring of the Ukrainian debt. This was announced by Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.

“The negotiations on the restructuring of the Ukrainian debt is not being and will not be carried out” – quoted Minister Tass.

Earlier, the head of the Russian Finance Ministry said that if Kiev refuses to fulfill its obligations, it will be the basis for a claim to international courts.

The nearest payment of 75 million dollars to be made in June. If it is passed, Russia would use its right to appeal to the court, noted Siluanov.

At the end of May, we recall, the Supreme Rada of Ukraine has allowed the government to suspend the payment of the country’s external debt, including the Russian loan of three billion dollars. This sum was spent on the purchase of Russian Ukrainian Eurobonds in late 2013. The right to a moratorium is in effect until mid-2016.
