It was proposed to decide whether students have a rest on the classic graphics (after each quarter) or modules (a week off after every five weeks of training). In 2010, Gennady Onishchenko, who at the time served as the chief sanitary doctor of Russia, offered to postpone the beginning of school year at a later date. It was motivated by challenging environmental conditions because of wildfires. However, the school year began on 1 September.
