Kaluga, September 27, 2015, 11:58 – REGNUM monks of St. Pafnutyevo Borovsky monastery Kaluga region monk Photios (Motchalov) , with the blessing of Metropolitan of Kaluga and Borovsk Clement took part in the musical show “The Voice” on Channel One, reported Sept. 27 told IA REGNUM in the monastery.
Father Photios was the only participant in the popular show from the Kaluga region. His performance of Lensky’s aria from the opera “Eugene Onegin” conquered the jury and the audience.
By the way, out of thousands of applicants who submitted their applications for participation in the project “The Voice”, was selected for a total of 150 people. Among them are singers from Ufa, Kaliningrad, Belaya Kalitva (Rostov region), Angarsk (Irkutsk region), Kyakhta (Buryatia). There is one representative from Brazil and India.
Ieromonah of Kaluga Borovsk studied at the music school, singing in foreign languages and manages the monastic choir.
Meanwhile, according to media reports, the clergy have become parties to the unique show “The Voice” overseas.
