Office of state protection of objects of cultural heritage of the Novosibirsk region revealed violations during the repair Municipal Theatre of Opera and Ballet, which began in the spring of this year at the initiative of the new general director Vladimir Kehmana, took office after the scandal with the opera “Tannhauser” .

“The officials of the theater and contractors who have committed these violations, are likely to be brought to administrative responsibility, but the decision will be made have the court” – said the head of the department.

The official said that any comments on the quality of restoration work on the roof and facade of the theater. Also, in his words, in the theater building repairs were carried out, which went beyond the agreed upon with the Ministry of Culture of the documentation.

The director of the Mikhailovsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Vladimir Kehman was appointed director of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre after 29 March, the Minister of Culture dismissed from the post of theater director Boris Mezdricha after the scandal with the opera “Tannhäuser” directed by Timothy Kulyabina. After his appointment Kehman took the play from the repertory theater and closed for repairs.

On the repair, in his words, the general partner of the theater has allocated 150 million rubles. This money Kehman planned to renovate the auditorium, opera rehearsal classes and dressing rooms, as well as the lobby, bar and dining area for artists.

Ten years ago at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater was completed large-scale reconstruction, which lasted 18 years. It took more than 1 billion rubles. Then the theater was equipped with the latest equipment, allowing to carry out concerts and performances at any level. Also, replicas have been replaced dilapidated velvet armchairs, restored chandelier restored antique statues, laid oak flooring and stairs were covered with marble.
