The results of the prize for the strangest book title 2016 – Fontanka

The book” too bare for the Nazis’ won Diagram Prize for the strangest name in 2016. This was announced by the contest organizer, the British magazine The Bookseller.


 

For the title, which in the original sounds like «Too Naked for the Nazis», voted almost 25% of Internet voting, informs edition. The book is devoted to the history of the British vaudeville trio “Wilson, Keppel and Betty.” It caused serious anger the head of the German propaganda Joseph Goebbels, performing pre-war Berlin in his famous “Egyptian sand dance».


 

In the second place, and – the book “Reading the back: a cultural history of the anus” and kinomanskoe edition of “vampires, drag queens, bikers and nuns.” Photographic album of the Soviet bus stops, which told “Fontanka”, came in fourth place.
