Iranian film won the competition MIFF

Thursday night in the capital’s cinema ” Russia “were awarded prizes of the Moscow international Film Festival. The ceremony was also attended by Nikita Mikhalkov, who either due to illness or for other reasons, was not present at the opening of the festival, which has generated a lot of rumors and unrest. Nevertheless, the festival locomotive safely come to finish and without his long-term president. There were no large linings. But, unfortunately, and without great creative discoveries.

The main MIFF prize was awarded to Iranian director Reza Mirkamiri for the film “Daughter”, which tells about the rebellion of 16-year-old schoolgirl against his authoritarian father. This is the second “Golden George” in the fate Mirkamiri. In 2008, he took the main prize of the Moscow Film Festival for the film “It’s easy”, also dedicated to family issues. The irony lies in the fact that the film was much better, thinner, deeper “Daughters.” But amid this frankly weak competition traditionally Mighty Iranian film served as a jury member for the magic magic wand.

Interestingly, overweight, and apparently did not like professional actor Farhad Aslani, who played in “Daughters,” the father of the main character He received the prize for best Actor. “Shroud” best actress 13-year-old Filipina Teresa Malvar was recognized, played in the film. The prize for best director has received Danish Puk Grasten for the film “37″ based on real events. Special Jury Prize Film Festival marked the Bulgarian film “Singin ‘shoes,” directed by Radoslav Spassov. This is the story of life of popular singer Lili Ivanova, who, as it turned out, was a secret service informant.

Unfortunately, the only Russian competition film “The monk and demon” directed by Nikolai Dostal jury evaluated. The film by Sergei Soloviev “Sneakers,” which was screened out of competition at the opening of the Moscow International Film Festival, a chance to compete for the festival gold seems to this writer, it was much more. But we are always strong hindsight …

In addition to the awards, which are distributed fairly accurately the jury, was awarded the traditional prize of Moscow International Film Festival for his loyalty to the principles of the school Stanislavsky “I Believe!”. President of the Moscow Film Festival Nikita Mikhalkov presented his beautiful actress of theater and cinema Marina Neelova. People’s Artist of Russia joked that her prize would probably have given for years of service. But then he expressed hope that in the rest it is still too early, and it intends to do something worthy in the theater and in the cinema.
