(Kazan, September 5, the “Tatar-Inform”, Aisylu Khafizova). Today in Kazan, in “Pyramid”, the opening ceremony of XII Kazan International Muslim Film Festival. Despite the rainy weather, welcome filmmakers and festival guests on the star track were about a thousand viewers.


 

The first on the red carpet of the Kazan Film Festival have been guests of the forum: famous directors Alexander Proshkin, Siddiq Barmak, Usman Saparov, Yury Bykov, Majid Majidi, Konstantin Lopushansky, Yusup Razykov, actor Yuri Nazarov, Lyudmila Khityaeva, Lyudmila Maltseva, Iris Khusainova, singers Renat Ibragimov and Tamara Yandiev. The innovation of the ceremony was the presentation of Tatarstan filmmakers who contributed to the local cinema. Fifty Tatarstan actors, directors, screenwriters, producers, operators were invited to a “star track” of the festival, each called by name and presented to the public. Among them were participants of previous festivals, as well as students who have submitted their works for the competition in 2016.


 

The cultural and entertainment part of the opening ceremony was held more restrained – the crisis has made their adjustments. Announcement of films participating XII KMFMK alternated with greeting Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, and the chairman of the Union of Muftis of Russia, Mufti Sheikh Ravil-Gaynutdin. Mufti’s speech was riddled with pain and emotional conflict between the fraternal peoples, taking place in the world today. He urged all to come to the world together for the construction of temples and upbringing of children in the spirit of our values.


 

Sincere and heartfelt appeal was People’s Artist of the RSFSR Lyudmila Khityaeva. She greeted the hall in the Tatar language, admired the Tatar cuisine and the way prettier Kazan in recent years, read a poem on the topic of the day about the world, about the war, about the bread. People’s Artist of Russia Yuri Nazarov and Honored Artist of Russia Lyudmila Maltseva pronounced “heerle kitsch, kaderle duslar” ( “Good evening, dear friends”), thanked for the warm welcome and hospitality, and then acoustic guitar performed in the style of the kitchen Moscow gatherings song from the movie ” Sannikov Land “and wished the festival of prosperity.

 

The organizers of the ceremony touched on the 120th anniversary of Gabdulla Tukai and showed video from cutting the key moments of cinema. Cutting had historical inaccuracies, but looked impressive.


 

The Chairman of the Jury of the current Muslim Film Festival, directed by Alexander Proshkin known mass audience for the films “Mikhail Lomonosov”, and “Doctor Zhivago” and “Russian riot” and noted that today there is nothing more important than the dialogue of civilizations and dialogue between cultures, heart movement towards each other. He admitted that he had great expectations for this festival, because here presented cinematography of ancient cultures, countries with huge traditions, great cinematography, which are the focus of world attention. “I’m waiting for shocks, I hope that these shocks and overtake you”, – he said

The director of the film opening XII KMFMK, Iranian Majid Medzhidi spoke about his film, and the Kazan festival wanted greater emphasis is not on the form of, and in its content and movies. This year, 60 films from 33 countries are taking part in the competition. As the press service of the festival selection committee watched 700 films from more than 50 countries, 200 films more than last year. Therefore, the audience will see and admire.
