Russian short film about the Holocaust will apply on “Oscar” – Interfax

Moscow. 19 Oct. INTERFAX.RU – a Short film about the Holocaust “Brut”, created with the support of the Federation of Jewish communities of Russia, has hit the extended list of nominees for the Academy award “Oscar”, said on Wednesday the press service of the FJC.

“Nice to know that the Committee is the world’s largest film lately prefers the paintings, which touched upon the second world war and the Holocaust. This will certainly help to draw the viewers ‘attention to the acute problem of national and religious intolerance and the terrible consequences of its manifestations”, – quotes the press service of the President of the FJCR Alexander Beard.

According to him, the film worked for an international team, in the lead roles was involved in the famous Russian actors, and if “Brutus” will receive “Oscar” it will be a great asset for the whole country.

the Film “Brutus”, based on the story by the Czech writer Ludwig Ashkenazi, the second part of the film almanac “Witnesses”, which consists of three novellas representing an unusual view of the Holocaust. In the picture the eyes of a dog named Brutus show the cruelty of the human world.
