Ukraine has warned of the possibility of losing Eurovision – Opinion

Ukraine may lose the opportunity to hold “Eurovision-2017″ due to the fact that delaying the organization of the competition, said the acting Director General of the national television and radio company (NTRC) of Ukraine Oleksandr Harabin.

In early October, the European broadcasting Union as the owner of the brand “Junior Eurovision” showed NTRK “red card” because of an actual disruption of the preparation for the competition, said Harabin, reports RIA “Novosti” with reference to TSN.

Among the reasons he calls bureaucracy, imperfection of legislative acts and neglect of some officials to the competition.

however, he noted that Ukraine was behind schedule so for October it has been reduced from three months to one. However, the final decision about whether the competition be held in Kiev, will be attended at the meeting of the European broadcasting Union on 8 December.

Recall, November 7, Zurab Alasania was dismissed from his post as head of the National broadcasting company of Ukraine. On 1 November the General Director of NTRK Alasania resigned. His decision he argued the problems with the budget of a broadcasting company associated with the need to invest in the contest a significant amount of money.

meanwhile, Western media reported that Ukraine does not have enough money to Eurovision.
