Crimean museums filed a brief appeal against the decision of the District court of Amsterdam on the transfer of the collection of Scythian gold Ukraine. About it “RIA Novosti” said the lawyer Anastasia Sivickaja representing the Crimean museums in court. This information she also confirmed in an interview with RBC.
the Lawyer said that the appeal brief was filed on January 16, and the detailed text will be provided later. The terms of the complaint will be determined by the court, she added.
In February 2014 in the Allard Pierson Museum in Amsterdam opened the exhibition “Crimea: gold and secrets of the Black sea”. the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko welcomed the decision of the Dutch court with the words “Crimea is ours”. According to him, the court order showed that Ukrainian is not only a collection of gold, but also the Peninsula.
In turn, the Minister of culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky said that the decision of the Netherlands “unprecedented” and said that the transfer of Scythian gold Ukraine will be “kidnapping”.
At the same time, the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, answering the question about whether the head of state to take this question under control and to speak on this occasion, said that this is not “question the President” and the topic dealt with by the Russian authorities.
